Tummy Tuck

Sometimes very loose excessive skin in the abdomen or stretch marks after pregnancy in the lower abdomen can be surgically excised and tucked. This is called a tummy tuck. Tummy tuck achieves not only removal of excessive loose skin in the abdomen, it allows tightening of the abdominal muscle and hence a trimmer waist, and it reconstructs the navel the same time to give a more aesthetically pleasing hill and valley appearance.

Tummy tuck involves a horizontal incision in the bikini area of the pelvis. The incision, although not conspicuous, remains a permanent scar. The operation is done under general anaesthesia and the use of temporary drains for 2 days are required.

A supportive garment is essential for the first three months to improve the final result of both liposuction and the tummy tuck.
